ICHQP is one of the premier international conferences in the field of electrical power engineering and the only IEEE PES conference dedicated to the area of power quality. The conference presents academic and industrial work of technical excellence at the forefront of power quality research and practical developments. The 21 st ICHQP will continue this tradition, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals from academia and industry working in the area of power quality to come together to share and exchange ideas.

The 21st ICHQP will be held in the beautiful city,“the land of abundance”, Chengdu(China) from October 15 to 18, 2024.

The conference is hosted by Sichuan University, technically sponsored by the IEEE Power and Energy Society, supported by Southwest Jiaotong University, Chongqing University, Asian Power Quality Industry Alliance, State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company and Sichuan Society for Electrical Engineering.

●Speakers

Prof. Wilsun Xu
Fellow, IEEE
University of Alberta, Canada
Wilsun Xu (Fellow, IEEE) is a professor at the University of Alberta, Canada. He obtained PhD from the University of British Columbia, Canada, in 1989 and worked in BC Hydro of Vancouver, Canada for 7 years before joining the University in 1996. Dr. Xu has been conducting power quality research, education, and consulting for over 30 years, especially in the field of power system harmonics. He was elevated to IEEE fellow for contributions to power system harmonics research in 2005 and served as the Power Quality Industrial Research Chair of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada from 2007 to 2020. In recent years, Dr. Xu pioneered the research on power disturbance data analytics, a field that uses power quality disturbance data to support equipment and system condition monitoring.

Prof. Dario Zaninelli
Senior Member, IEEE
Politecnico di Milano, Italy
Brief Bio:
Dario Zaninelli (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Politecnico di Milano, in 1989. He is currently a Full Professor with the Department of Energy, Politecnico di Milano. His research interests include power system harmonics and power system analysis. He is a member of AEI and the Italian National Research Council Group of Electrical Power System.

Prof. Yilu Liu
Fellow, IEEE
The University of Tennessee at Knoxville, USA
Yilu Liu (Fellow, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degrees from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA, in 1989. She is currently the Governor’s Chair of The University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Knoxville, TN, USA, and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. In 2016, she is elected as a member of the National Academy of Engineering. She is also the Deputy Director of the DOE/NSF-cofunded by the Engineering Research Center CURENT. Prior to joining UTK/ORNL, she was a Professor with Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA. She led the effort to create the North American Power Grid Frequency Monitoring Network, Virginia Tech, which is currently operated at UTK and ORNL as GridEye. Her research interests include power system wide-area monitoring and control, large interconnection-level dynamic simulations, electromagnetic transient analysis, and power transformer modeling and diagnosis.

The paper preparation and submission process follows standard IEEE practice and the following general protocols apply:

1)Template: Papers must be prepared using the IEEE PES conference paper template(https://www.ieee-pes.org/templates-and-sample-of-pes-technical-papers)
2)Page limit: Papers must not exceed the six-page limit (including all text, footnotes, figures, tables, references and appendices)
3)Language: English
4)File format: Single PDF file (limited to 6 MB)

6)Review: Papers will be subject to a single-blind peer-review process, and will be reviewed in terms of: relevance, originality and quality of the technical content, overall organization and writing style
