About |
Studies on Wikipedia have highlighted its value as one of the maximum exponents of collaborative work. Pursuing its goal of becoming the “sum of all human knowledge”, the last two decades have seen how an information product as traditional as an encyclopedia became the main source of referential information for society. This structure houses, in addition to the encyclopedia, other projects such as Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata. The richness of its content, the diversity of approaches and interactions that occur in it has made it to be used as an object of study and field research in a number of disciplines, from computer science and computing to health, through social and human sciences. |
