This workshop aims to provide research training to academics on the writing of research papers and grant proposals to enhance their contribution to scholarship as well as boost their social relevance. The target population is academic communities in Africa. The duration of the workshop will be three days. Day 1 of the workshop will feature hands-on sessions following intensive reviews of the research papers submitted prior to the workshop. Day 2 of the workshop will be dedicated to practical sessions on the writing of grant proposals based on the drafts earlier submitted to the workshop and on current calls for proposal. On Day 3, participants will depart to their various institutions. Call for Submissions Interested persons are expected to submit a brief draft of their intended paper or grant proposal, not exceeding 3000 words to [email protected] at least 3 months to the date of the workshop. Papers in any field of study are welcome. The drafts will undergo intensive reviews and feedback for improvement will be given to the writers of the papers selected for the workshop. The revised papers will be the focus of the hands-on sessions during the workshop where the participants will meet with the reviewers for focused interaction with the reviewers and also with their peers.
