About

«Ticontre» deals with criticism and textual analysis, history of literature, theory of literature and comparative literature, translation studies. The essays are subjected to a double blind peer review . In its five years of life, "Ticontre" has published 11 issues regularly and without delay, containing a total of 185 articles, of which about 30% are written in a foreign language; in the first four years the relative pdfs had over 65,000 downloads. The authors of the articles belong to about fifty different institutions, foreign in more than half of the cases. «Ticontre» is indexed in ERIH PLUS and is a class A magazine (ANVUR) ​​for the following competition sectors: 10 / E1; 10 / F1; 10 / F2; 10 / F3; 10 / F4; 10 / H1; 10 / I1; 10 / L1; 10 / M1; 10 / M2.  

The magazine has a monographic section, different for each issue, and three fixed sections: Essays - in which critical interventions of various kinds are placed -, Theory and practice of translation - a section that collects translation-related interventions, as well as translations of accompanying literary texts from a note of comment - finally the Reprints section , which hosts texts of great scientific importance and / or for the history of the discipline not yet translated into Italian or no longer available.


Call for Papers

Anyone interested in submitting a proposal for the Essays or Translation theory and practice section for the second issue of 2020 («Ticontre» XIV, November 2020), must send an abstract to [email protected] .

The article proposal must contain the title, a short profile of the author (maximum 150 words), an extended abstract (minimum 800 words, maximum 1,200 words) and a reference bibliography. The critical cut and / or methodologies to be adopted must also be indicated in the abstract.

Interested parties are invited to consult the presentation of the magazine ( link ) which indicates the areas of interest of «Ticontre».

The deadline for submitting proposal abstracts is 03 March 2020 ; the editorial staff will communicate the outcome of the evaluation by March 19, 2020.  The deadline for submitting the selected articles will be May 10, 2020 , to then be subjected to the peer-review process , subject to scrutiny by the editorial staff.
