Dear Colleagues, Optical fiber sensors for in situ pressure measurements based on micro-cavities and fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) have been successfully developed over the last two decades. Optical fiber sensors offer minimal intrusivity, immunity to intense electromagnetic fields, and reliable measurements. Many sectors use optical fiber pressure sensors: biomedical, aerospace, defense, and industry in harsh environments, like in oil wells. New fiber designs and materials, temperature compensation, high-pressure measurements, and fast FBG interrogation techniques remain relevant research topics. This Special Issue focuses on the latest developments and original approaches in fiber pressure sensors. We invite researchers and industry members of the sectors to submit original research papers and review articles on fiber pressure sensors and applications.
