Call for Papers

Aim and Scope

The 15th International Seminar on Medical Information Processing and Analysis (SIPAIM) aims to bring together medical and biomedical researchers, students and professionals, especially those with a strong interest in image and signal analysis. The conference will serve as a forum to communicate results, exchange ideas and promote the creation of technical and scientific collaboration networks.


Paper Submission and Topics

Prospective authors are invited to submit a full manuscript that will be evaluated by the by the program committee. Manuscripts should have a minimum of 6 single-side pages and a maximum of 20. A 5 page manuscripts will be acceptable provided it contains all elements of a full-length technical manuscript.

Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings of SPIE Digital Library. The articles will be indexed in Scopus among other databases. Papers should be related to one or more of the conference's six main topics:

-Medical and Biomedical Imaging
-E-Health
-Digital Pathology
-Gait Analysis and Biosignals
-Representation Based Biosignal Analysis
-Analysis of Medical Procedures Through Imaging

Venue

This year the conference will be held in Medellin, Colombia. Medellin is located in the northwest of Colombia at an elevation of 1500 meters above sea level. With an area of 380.64 square kilometers and a population of about 2.4 million inhabitants, it is the second largest city in Colombia. Because of its pleasant year round warm weather and its vegetation of lush trees and beautiful flowers, Medellín is known as the "City of the Eternal Spring".

Medellín is a major cultural center of Colombia, home to major festivals with wide experience and recognition locally. It is also an academic and scientific center, hosting some of the top Colombian universities.
